Rachel is a 200-hour ERYT Yoga Alliance certified yoga instructor and has been teaching since 2015. With over one thousand hours of teaching experience, Rachel teaches Alignment + Vinyasa yoga - a style of yoga that links breath to movement - and builds a series of postures with an emphasis on strong alignment, prop incorporation, full-bodied breath, and longer holds all crafted for the needs of the individual. She is known for her fluid sequencing, precise verbal cues, and grounded and energetic classes that invite you to explore your edge mindfully and cultivate a meaningful dialogue with your body. She respects that everyone arrives on their mat for different reasons and believes in offering "layers" in postures to give practitioners the freedom to cultivate their personal practice - starting from the foundational posture and offering variations to either find more strength, heat, and challenge or to find more support, softness, and comfort.
She carefully sequences sessions over the course of a month to compliment one another so practitioners may have multiple opportunities to focus on a particular movement, group of muscles, or a specific posture with more confidence, strength, and fluidity. Originally certified in power yoga, Rachel has taken additional training that focus on anatomy and kinesiology as her sessions revolve around cultivating stronger proprioception, functional strength, and intelligent movement.
Rachel's passion is helping humans show up stronger, calmer & more resilient on & off the mat.
Above all, Rachel is a student, a seeker, committed to her own evolution as a human being, and her own healing. She works to bring her own darkness into the light, and wants to support this in all.
Unlike group classes, private yoga sessions allow you to move at your pace and allow space for a dialogue about any questions that may arise during practice. Private sessions with Rachel are also completely personalized based upon your individual goals and requirements. 60, 75, or 90 minute sessions are available. Offerings include:

These yoga sessions are specifically focused on functional movement and strength training using one's own body weight as resistance.
These sessions provide the opportunity to learn more about the postures and add another layer of understanding to our practice.
Learn how to channel your subtle energy (prana) to focus your mind and connect more deeply within.
